Our Story

Quillix started like any good knife story. Two friends, a bunch of knives, and a hustle.

In high school, Brandon Burgiss and Jordan Greene were going to flea markets and garage sales every weekend. They’d buy TSA-confiscated knives in bulk, clean them up, and sell them on eBay. Vintage slip joints. Cheap gas station folders. High quality EDCs. They flipped thousands before they ever thought about making one of their own.

“We weren’t just flipping knives,” Brandon says. “We were testing them. Seeing what worked. What didn’t. What we'd actually want to carry.”

That hands-on grind turned into something more. Brandon studied engineering at Virginia Tech. Jordan went into computer science at Duke. After college, they linked back up in Raleigh with one goal: Build the kind of knife they always wished existed.

Quillix is the result. A knife born from years of buying, using, breaking, and learning. Designed by two guys who actually use what they make. Built to last. Made to carry.

“If you actually care about the stuff you carry,” Jordan says, “this is for you.”
